About Us

Vision

Strange Monster is a boutique apparel and accessories manufacturer based in Portland Oregon focusing on hand printed urban streetwear for women and men offering a range of designs from dark art with a gothic flair to urban street art. We have been in business since 2002 and now you can find our products in over 17 countries around the world!

Design

Many of the designs available here were drawn by René Cigler and the brands such as Sugar Hiccup and the Lil She Creatures were created and developed by the owners of Strange Monster René and Cameron. The brands are available for licensing through Inkmonster.

Production

We print all of our designs here on our manual press so if you buy from us you are buying from the source and we hand made it.

Some of the novelty items on the site such as buttons and keychains are made by one of our licensed manufacturers and are based on the graphic brands we have developed such as the Lil She Creatures, Sugar Hiccup, Ultra Vixen, Miss Kitty and now Bone Kitty and Monkey Love.

Manufacturing

All the Fancy Tops, Purses, Pillows, sachets, stuffed creatures and day bags available here on the site are all made here by hand. We've got a solid customer base, with lots of repeat customers and we take pride in offering products that we put our blood, sweat and tears into.

We also handle all orders, customer service, site design and shipping ourselves which means that you will get personalized service. Have a question about any of our products?

The People

Strange Monster is owned by Cameron Smith and René Cigler. Both are into Industrial, Gothic, alternative music and performance and love to get out to see bands and dance.
